This is set 1 of the baseball style cards I did for the feature film "Bloodsucka Jones".
As part of the promo package, they'll be printed out and given to cast and crew at the premiere.

The Enchanted Tiki Garden (Gods & Goddesses)
So, like I said a couple days ago, I really dig the Enchanted Tiki Room's Tiki Garden.
It's one of my favorite places to just sit and get inspired. One day I snapped a bunch of pictures of all of the gods and goddesses in there, took it home and sketched out my versions of everyone. I went with the original color schemes they had, rather than the now fairly monochromatic and muted colors they have now. They're not terrible now, but I do like the wacky colors they had originally better.
Anyway, here they are...

The Enchanted Tiki Room Poster Redux
So along with the aforementioned, Haunted Mansion, The Enchanted Tiki Room is yet another one of my favorite haunts at Disneyland. I'll usually sit in the Tiki Garden for way too long, probably looking like some kind of freak, staring at the tikis and just wishing that I had the cash to make "this" my backyard.
Anyway, I love all the versions of the poster for the attraction and yet again decided to re-do the poster for the good of my own brain.
So after drawing up all of the tikis from the Tiki Garden (which I'll post later), I also did the newer / my version of the one poster for the attraction everyone knows.
And here ya go...

The Haunted Mansion Poster Redux
One of my favorite places to go and draw / be is Disneyland.
If I have the time I rustle up a sketchbook and a couple of pencils, go find a place to be and just draw what I see. One of my favorite attractions through and through is The Haunted Mansion. I'm still fascinated by the mechanics of it, love the mod in there and go on it as much as I possibly can stand.
I'm that guy who waits for the crowd to go ahead so I can linger in the back, just soaking up everything. The production design, the art design and the whole place is just unbelievably amazing to me - still. To think this thing was designed in the early '60s and implemented in the late '60s, yet still holds up to this day is an incredible testament to the genius of the attraction.
Anyhoo, I also love the older Disneyland posters from when I grew up and have long wanted to do one of them myself. So I combined both of these things and decided to re-do The Haunted Mansion attraction poster in my own style, for nobody's benefit but my own (and the random people who happen to like it too).
Here's the result of the above rant.
