So for the holidays, I had a request from the other guys in my band for new cards for the season. So in about 4 days, the sketches were done and all was colored in a arranged - not too damn bad if I do say so my damn self.
As always, if you wanna hear us, go to this link: http://www.facebook.com/patsybakermusic
Click on "Band Page" on the left and take a listen. We just finished recording our new EP and that should up there as well within the month!
On a recent trip to Disneyland and then to the Tiki Room, I noticed that the lamp housing for each bird, along with the wires holding the name tag shell are different on every host.
Kinda happy to find it out simply because I thought they all looked a little too similar. So with that and a quick little quote from each character, I re-drew a couple things and there ya go!
There's more stuff ready to be posted on the ol' new blog here soon.
Got a cool call today for a commissioned piece, just waiting for the sepcifics top be sent my way, then I'm off onto that project. But the other stuff that's in the wings won't be forgotten. Between that and our band getting ready to go into the studio, I'll be a busy bugger here until Thanksgiving.
Busy with the fun things, the things in life I love to do, so that isn't bad whatsoever!
So once in a while, I get given or take pictures of friends dogs, sketch 'em on up, color 'em and make 'em all cartoonified. No reason why, I just like dogs and drawing 'em.
The first two are my pups, Chewy & Dogi. After that in no particular order (from left to right moving down) its; George Page, Navin Johnson, Elvis, Penny, Griff, Jefe, Raja and Tabitha.
Here's some of the ones I've done and given out so far.
So I wanna do a sequel to "They Live" that picks up where the first one ended.
The aliens have been banished from Earth back to their home planet where the leader of the invasion has to explain to his boss (via Powerpoint presentation, replete with obvious block lettering about the invasion) what went wrong with the botched operation. Therein, we find out that all the aliens really wanted was help in graphic design for ads and access to cable TV. The whole money and power thing just kinda fell into their lap and they went with it - because, hey who wouldn't? Right?
The majority of it takes place in John's (the main character) suburban home where he struggles like everyone else to pay the bills and just keep afloat. Because on Earth he was rich but back home, he's just a middle class schlub desperately trying to get ahead at a job he hates.
